About Charlie
Charlie (Charlotte) came to midwifery because of her passion for service. She had always wanted a career where she could blend her affinity for quiet compassion with her desire to affect positive change, and midwifery proved to be the perfect place to land. She is continually in awe of the depth and breadth of midwifery care, and how midwives use their knowledge and skills not only to be health care providers but also to serve as advocates, counselors, and teachers. Charlie has built a practice founded on principles of informed consent and shared decision-making, and she works to empower people through education and steadfast support.
Charlie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Human Development at Washington State University. She then received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Washington. She is accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
Practicing full-scope midwifery in Spokane since 2017, Charlie feels it is a true honor and joy to be welcomed into the lives of each unique human she has worked with, both in and outside of pregnancy. She strives to provide gentle, personalized, whole-person care and aims to approach every interaction with kindness and humility. A lifelong student, Charlie is a firm believer in learning something from everyone she meets. Her patients describe her as warm, welcoming, dedicated, and kind.
